Let’s give our amazing NHS heroes room to do what they do best.
Will you help raise £1 million to build and equip our new General Intensive Care Unit? These 1400 metres of space to care will give our team the chance to be everything it can be, and do even more incredible things for our patients and families.
Our new ICU building needs your help to come alive.
You can create a caring environment that Southampton can truly be proud of — one where
patients are helped with rehabilitation, can maintain their dignity, and where families and staff have a place to rest and reflect.
Your gift will mean 1400 metres of care, where:
- A family can breathe and be together
- A patient and nurse can sit, think, and talk
- Our whole NHS team can work more effectively for our community

Working in an intensive care unit is precisely that – intensive. And that’s especially true in the current times – where our staff are working tirelessly to save lives and support anxious families. Your donation will help build a dedicated rehabilitation gym suited to our patients, speeding up recovery times.
When any patient arrives at our unit it’s traumatic for their relatives too. Your donation will help to give them a calming private space to make their own, where they can concentrate on being there for each other.
Together, we can build a palliative care suite where patients can be made comfortable in their final moments and where staff can ensure they are seen as a person rather than a collection of symptoms. For families and loved ones, this space will enable precious moments to be shared away from the clinical hospital environment.
